Nut and Seed Bliss Balls

A quick and easy snack containing almonds and walnuts, both of which were included in several trials finding positive effects on mental health from consuming a Mediterranean diet plus a portion of nuts per day. Nuts and seeds are good sources of monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats, including omega-3 (walnuts).

You'll Need:

½ cup of almonds

½ cup of walnuts

2 tablespoons pumpkin seeds

2 tablespoons sunflower seeds

¼ cup shredded coconut

8 pitted dates


Method:

Add all ingredients to a food processor or good blender and blend until finely chopped and mixture sticks together when pressed.


Roll spoonfuls of the mixture into balls and store in an airtight container in the fridge.


Optional: Drizzle over a little dark chocolate to decorate


Makes about 12 balls
