Wholemeal Soda Bread

This bread is quick to make and doesn't require any yeast or proving time. You can also add a teaspoon of mustard or chopped herbs to this recipe to add extra flavour!




You'll Need:

250g wholemeal flour

½ teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon sea salt or himalaya salt

100ml milk or milk alternative

150g plain greek yoghurt


Method:

Preheat oven to 200°C.

Sift flour, salt and baking soda into a large bowl and stir to combine.

Make a well in dry ingredients and add in yoghurt and milk. Fold ingredients together until combined.

Line a baking tray or bread tin with paper. Shape dough into a round loaf, or pour into lined tin. Sprinkle top of loaf with a little extra flour.

Bake for about 30 minutes, until golden on top. Cool before slicing.
